about the author

Jenny Healey has been writing for children around 14 years completing studies and gaining her Diploma of Advance Applied Writing. She loves the challenge of writing verse. She enjoys retirement, spending time with grandchildren and travelling about New Zealand with her husband in their motorhome.

Jenny has indie-published three other picture books, the last one in March 2021, and one eBook short story. This is her third picture book to be professionally published by Austin Macauley. The Rubbish Bin Cat in January 2022 and recently, Dougal LeClair’s, Incredible Cake.

Jenny lives with her husband in a small New Zealand town on the Coromandel Peninsula called Tairua.
